email sent from devices that do not support encryption

We have several network devices both HW and applications that send email through an account supplied by us. On at least one of the devices there did not appear to be a way to tell it to use the encryption that is listed in the POP and IMAP settings on the outlook options page. Has anyone run into this and were you able to resolve it with an office365 account or did you need to supply another email service for the device to use?

Thanks for any input.

Hi,

I need to create an ongoing project calendar which is accessible for people within my organisation AND a small number of key named individuals outside of our organisation who do not have access to our Office 365.

Can this be done through the calendar function or through sharepoint somehow?

We are using Office 365 Small Business Premium

Thanks

Paul

Outlook Downloading Mails again.

Hi,

Previously I was using Office 2010 Standard SP2 on my Windows 7 SP1 machine. I do have around 8 GB of Emails on my O365 account. Till date I have updated emails on my Outlook 2010, which was around 8 GB. Now when I upgraded my Office 2010 Standard to Office 2013 Pro plus, I am not able to see old emails. My upgraded version of Outlook 2013 is download emails from my O365 and again creating a new OST file. Is there any possibility that I can re-assign my Outlook 2013 to old OST File and save myself from download all those 8 GB's of Email?

The calendar option on the title bar has disappeared - just a black title bar.

The calendar option on the title bar has disappeared.  I can get into Outlook Office 365 for email - but there is no calendar option.  Just a black title bar.  How do I get the calendar to be visible?

I'm trying to give myself Full Access permissions to a mailbox in our Exchange admin center and I keep getting this error:

I've verified that I'm a Global administrator.  This is a task I am normally able to do until yesterday.

Any ideas?

Thanks

No ribbon?

Did Microsoft just roll out a new update to the web client of Office 365? I have lost the ribbon with "email, calendar, people, etc" and have it replaced with a button on the top left with all the functions? How do I get the old, significantly more efficient way back?

Alias setup and redirect to Separate Folder

I am attempting to set up an alias and redirect the incoming mail to a separate Folder in Office 365 Business Premium.  I would like to receive the alias email in both OWA and Outlook 2013. The tutorial for establishing an alias does not reflect the current screens displayed in my admin portal nor have I found any specific rule tutorials for redirecting to separate folder upon receipt.

Connected Accounts Not Downloading

I have had my OWA connected accounts set up for some time.  There has always been a lag time in downloading emails (several hours), however five days ago this lag time jumped up to 48 hours.  I can see the email on the server of the individual accounts, however they are not downloading into OWA until 24-48 hours later.  I've checked the set-up for each one and they all say "ok".  Not sure what to do - any ideas?

Site mailboxes syncing

Team site mailboxes are not showing up in OWA or in Outlook 2013 client. We have Office 365 Business Premium. Tried manual syncing, removing and then adding again the site mailbox. Note there is no settings tab when viewing the site mailbox from the Site.

message size limit

In my reseach I came across the following information:

The message size limit for Exchange Online is 25MB, including attachments. This size limit applies to all messages (inbound, outbound, and internal) and can’t be amended.  The default attachment size limit for a single attachment is 10MB.  Messages larger than 25MB will not be delivered, and the sender will receive a Non- Delivery Report (NDR).

I have a hybrid setup and modified the send/receive connectors maximum message size on the on premise Exchange 2010.  This setting adjustment for the 365 connector allowed me to sent test message with a 15mb attachment to an mailbox within Exchange Online.  Now this leads me to message size limit for mailboxes within Exchange Online.

I came upon Get-TransportConfig to determine InternalDsnMaxMessageAttachSize and ExternalDsnMaxMessageAttachSize.  As suspected, they were set to the default of 10MB.  I tried the set a new value using this command I found without luck.

Set-TransportConfig -InternalDsnMaxMessageAttachSize 25MB

What can do to ensure I get the maximum 25MB or will it always use the on premise connector.

Thanks,

Bijal

How many messages have been sent from a mailbox

Hello. Could someone please let me know a way to determine the number of messages sent from a mailbox, either using the portal or with a PowerShell script? I believe I may have exceeded the daily limit on a few mailboxes.

Thanks!

Allowing All Organization Users to See Full "Resource Calendar" Details

Hey everybody,

I'm hoping someone can help me to make this happen - I'm trying to deploy resource calendars to replace Google Calendars - to keep everyone on one platform and make sure we're not fragmenting our calendars between personal calendars on Office 365 and shared on Google...

Unfortunately, the first roadblock I've hit with regards to this is that "resource" calendars are not sharing full details with everyone in the organization.

The only solutions I've come across for this (so far) have required PowerShell interventions, which 1. I don't know the first thing about and 2. aren't supposed to be required for Office 365, as far as I understood things when we first purchased this product.

Any help would be appreciated!

Cannot send emails to on-prem subdomain (Lsoft Listserv)

Good afternoon,

We have a hybrid environment with Exch 2010 on-prem and students in cloud.  On-prem we have Lsoft's Listserv services running on a separate server. As such, it is a subdomain listserv.domain.com. On-prem users can send to the lists with no issue. Cloud users cannot get an email onto prem and into the subdomained server.

They would normally send to <ListName>@listserv.domain.com. Worked fine until we migrated the users. The email flow from Listserv to cloud users works perfectly, the cloud users simply cannot send an email to the subdomain.

How can I resolve this?

Thank you

Bob

Office 365 Business Level Exchange OWA Notifications have stopped working

Greetings,

As of several days ago I noticed that the Office 365 Business Level Exchange (OWA for Android App) Notifications have stopped working. I have troubleshot this on several devices using separate accounts to isolate the problem and it looks to be on Microsoft's end. According to the Office 365 System Health Dashboard they are working on other issues, however Notification problems are not one of them.

Just an FYI if it helps those out there that are wondering why they are not being notified of Calendar Events or Email arrivals on their Mobiles.

Note: I am running an LGG3 and have never seen this fail since installed several months ago - until now.

Any help from Microsoft would be appreciated.

Is there a way to have the legal disclaimer show up at the bottom of each response in an email thread versus just at the bottom of the email thread.

DNS Error 5.1.10

I have added the MX record at Network Solutions where my site is hosted so that my email works through Office 365.  It seems to work.

However, I have another employee that does not have an Office 365 account.  When I send an email to her, it is returned with a DSN 5.1.10 Error.  Initially setup the STMP for Office 365 and then after error reset the SMTP to the NetworkSolutions configuration.  Neither has resolved the issue.  I have also set her up as a user on Office 365.

Need help to send her an email.

How to expand a distribution list

We are having a baby shower for a coworker. With a different email program, I was able to expand a distribution list and remove that one person's name so she would not get the email about her surprise baby shower. There is no "+" sign in Office 365 to expand the list. How do I do that? I refuse to type in individually over 80 emails.

How is the mail flow in an Exchange Hybrid configuration?

Hi,

Help, please. I’m new to Office 365.

I have an Exchange 2010 SP3 on-premise and I want to start the migration to Office 365. But first I have this question:

  • How is the mail flow? For example: John Doe’s mailbox lives in Office 365, what happen when he receives an email? The email is received on-premise and route to Office 365 or vice versa?

Thanks in advanced.

On-premises Exchange 2010 - 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable

Hi All!

I have an odd issue whereby we're using Office365 at this stage, purely for Lync online and Sharepoint Online/OneDrive Business.

What I'm finding is that when attempting to 'Share' documents/folders in OneDrive with users within the organisation, I receive a bound back/NDR that contains the following:

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

User1@contoso.com
A communication failure occurred during the delivery of this message. Please try resending the message later. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk.

User2@contoso.com
A communication failure occurred during the delivery of this message. Please try resending the message later. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk.

Diagnostic information for administrators:

Generating server: SMT947322-000.YLO001.MSOPRD.MSFT.NET

User1@contoso.com
#< #5.5.0 smtp;550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable> #SMTP#

User2@contoso.com
#< #5.5.0 smtp;550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable> #SMTP#

We have on on-premises Exchange 2010 server and I'm not sure why we'd be getting this sort of bounce back unless I've possibly not configured a relay somewhere?

Your thoughts would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Sandeep
