I am a partner who recently had some of our customers upgrade from W14 to Wave 15. I also noticed they've moved from FOPE to EOP for the protection suite. I have had a complaint from a customer, however, and was hoping I might find a solution on these forums. Basically, his spam mail is being redirected into the SPAM quarantine box, which can be accessed through the EAC. The problem is, he wants to be able to actually view the body of those messages, as well as having them removed from the quarantine box when he releases them. Is there any way to view those messages? If not, this seems like a real step backwards from FOPE, which had the individual user quarantines that the admin could actually view the quarantined messages in. Thoughts?

Outgoing Spam Email from fake address

Hi,


I am not sure if this is the correct forum or if this should go under Exchange...


When I look at the "outbound spam", using Mail Protection Reports for Office 365,  it shows an email address of postmaster@mycompany.com.


We do not have an email address with this name and I was wondering if there was a way to either block it or what I can do to stop this email from being "used" to send spam.


I have Office 365 Enterprise (after the upgrade) and am having issues finding any help that does not relate to FOPE which we do not seem to have.

Inbound email IP reputation checking with EOP

Hi,

 

Does anyone know exactly if/how Microsoft performs IP reputation checking for inbound messaged to O365?

 

I have an issue where our email is being forwarded though another SMTP server before it reaches office365 so any IP reputation checking is negated. Out antispam performance is underwhelming so I'd like to know to what degree it would perform better with email going directly to EOP.

Translating Email

How do I translate within Outlook 365 App?


In regular Outlook I used to be able to "left-click" and a box would open offering a number of things, including "Translate."


In Office 365, "Translate" is pale grey and I am unable to choose that as an option.


Please help! What am I doing incorrectly?

Our organization signed up for the Office365 Small Business Premium with 5 user licenses.  My question is how do we add an email address for someone (a 6th user) that does not include a Office365 Small Business Premium license.  We don't want them to have access to O365 products, we just want to provide them with an email address @ourdomain.com.  I don't want to have to pay for a full license when they will not be using the products, only email.

Unable to Download Offiline Address Book 0X80190197

Hi

 

I'm currently unable to download the Offline Address Book using Outlook 2010.

 

I have followed the steps in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2429946 and when I get to the last step and use the URL in the autodiscover file I am unable to log in to the website, it just keeps prompting me for a username and password (which I guess is the problem!)

 

Any advice or help on what I've not done or what's happening?

I setting up contactform on our webpage (joombla) and would like send a email to our shared mailbox.

The best practis is to use eks hello@domain.com as a mailserver in joomla and then i need to fill in;

 

SMTP Port
SMTP Username   
SMTP Password   
SMTP Host

 

Create bulk mailboxes using a CSV via Powershell with predefined passwords in O365

I've been searching today for any information on how to create bulk mailboxes using a CSV over Powershell with predefined password, so far no results.

 

Can anyone tell me where to find the instructions for this?  We did it regularly with Live@edu, but now that we have migrated to O365 we can no longer do it. 

 

Yes, we DO KNOW that you can do it by logging onto the ecp as an administrator, and selecting import users!  But we need to run this with Powershell, and we need to predefine the passwords.

 

Note:  This domain does NOT sync.  The users are students, and they are given AD accounts.  My dB admin exports new students into a file and uses that to creates bulk AD accounts, then he manipulates the exported file and uses it in PS to create bulk mailboxes.

 

Can anyone please tell us how this is done in O365, or point us to the instructions?  Searching these forums can be a very time consuming and frustrating process......

Missing emails from inbox

Hello, I recently installed Office 365. My colleague and I both have set up access to our boss's inbox in our Outlook. She is receiving all his messages however it has become apparent I am only getting some of them. I've checked the junk and deleted folders and they aren't in there either. I set up access to his account as a POP3. I urgently need to sort this out as I'm a Personal Assistant and some of these emails I've been missing are important. Thanks

Mail Rules on a shared mailbox

I have created a shared mailbox for one of the departments here, it has propogated to the assigned users ok, receiving mail etc.

 

The problem is I need to find a way to apply mail rules to the shared mailbox, so much like a regular mailbox mail will be filtered into folders. A user cannot apply these rules as it comes up in Outlook as a secondary mailbox and the rules are tied to that particular user. I cannot log in via OWA and do it because the shared mailbox does not have access to OWA as it does not have a licence.

 

Is there a way to apply mail rules to a shared mailbox or is it simply not possible?

MFP can't email anymore after Office 365 upgrade...please help!!!

Hi Everyone,

The company that I am working for send emails from a Konica Minolta BizHub C360 multi-function printer. Emailing from this printer was working fine until late this morning, and the printer does support the TLS protocol.

On the weekend Office 365 was updated for us, so my first thought was to update the Server Address on the printer in order to get emailing working again.

Prior to changing any settings this is how the printer looked (email address omitted for confidentiality) -



I then updated the settings to the new Office 365 address -



After updating the Server Address I performed a hard power off of the printer, and then restarted, however whilst the settings were retained I am still unable to send by email.

When I log into the portal and look at the Server details for the email account that I am using I can see that I am meant to use outlook.office365.com, however strangely enough in the address bar of the browser pop up box I see pod51054.outlook.com!



Finally when I look at the setting for this account using Windows I see a "unique" identifier that appears to be a new feature of the upgrade!

I believe that I simply saw the complete email address in the past, e.g.: bob.jones@company.com.au

If anybody has any suggestions on how to resolve this can you please let me know?

Automatic replies not working.

One of our customers is having issues setting automatic replies both through the online portal and via outlook on their PCs.

 

They were having this issue prior to the wave 15 release which I thought may of fixed the issue.

 

I have tested on several accounts within the same domain all experience the same issue.


Mails just vanished

We just moved to 365. For one user, all was fine initially ... he received his mails to the new Microsoft Exchange server happily for a week, but now, all mails (even the old ones we had copied over from an older account) are just gone ... all I see are the new ones from today, even when I login to the 365 portal .. the server just doesn't show them anymore. They are not in the deleted folder, they haven't accidentally been moved to another folder ... they're just gone.


What can we do?

Email not being received from Wordpress contact form

Hi,


We have a customer that has been with us approx 3 months now, they only have a single license for O365 Exchange Only.


They have a Wordpress website (Managed by another company) which has a contact form on it which was originally the standard Wordpress Contact form using PHP to generate and send the email to the recipient.


This was initially working and then they stopped receiving the completed contact form and from what I could see there was no problem with O365. The contact form then suddenly started being received with no change to O365 or the Wordpress site. Several days later again they stopped receiving the form and the guy who looks after the website added his own email address (Not an O365 address) and regardless of whether my customer receives the contact form or not the web guy always receives it.


After searching through the O365 and Wordpress communities I advices them to go for an SMTP type of contact form which was configured to authenticate to the O365 account. The contact form emails were received initially but now it has gone back to working for several days and then not.


Both myself and the web guy are a little stuck now and the customer is thinking about moving away from O365 as the contact for generates a reasonable amount of business for him.


Any ideas anyone? Any help appreciated.

Lync not changing status based on work hours in calendar

For some reason my Lync status does not change based on my work schedule that is setup in my outlook calendar even though I have the options set in Lync to show my status based on my calendar.  I have my office hours set in both my Office 2013 outlook and in my Office365 Outlook Calendar.  Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?
