Has anyone heard of an issue where a junk email in the junk folder caused Outlook to crash when trying to empty the folder? I received the following from an instructor.
I suggest to use the online client for setting rules. He usually is using the client version Outlook 2011 on a Mac.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
I've been having a reoccurring problem with Outlook. There is a piece of mail that I've flagged as junk many times. It's in some oriental language. Here's the problem. It will show up in my Junk Mail which is good. However, when I click on the "Junk Mail" to delete it, Outlook automatically shuts down. In the past I could go online to my Outlook and delete it from there. That tends to work better. However, currently, when I highlight that e-mail to delete my Outlook online crashes and shuts down. I'm attaching a picture of the specific e-mail. Any thoughts on how to delete this reoccurring junk mail that crashes my Outlook?
I marked this specific e-mail as junk. Previously it wouldn't go into the junk folder by itself. So I did create a rule to mark it as junk. The problem is I can't click on that e-mail to change the rule. De facto, my junk box is inaccessible. I can't even click on other junk e-mail that I normally could delete because of that one very pernicious e-mail.
