download lync 2013?
Exchange Online Email Servers
I am migrating to the Exchange Online server. I currently have a POP account with a .net address through GoDaddy and secureserver.net. It is not clear to me if the account settings in Outlook need to now reflect the Exchange Online servers, or if I can keep my existing POP settings with updated SRV records.
I also have an android device (the primary reason for utilizing Exchange Online) utilizing the Touchdown email client. Touchdown will only work with Exchange/Active sync servers, so no matter what I need this information for that device, yet can't find that server information anywhere.
Can someone assist. Frankly, I'm finding this significantly harder that it has to be.
How do I add multiple custom domains with self hosted DNS?
It gives me two options:
1) Yes, I want to finish setting up ***.com
2) No, I want to start over
If I choose 1) - it takes me to the "Set up ***.com to work with Office 365" page - with steps 1 - 4 complete and step 5 not complete (which is the "Complete the process" step). In order to complete step 5 - I need to change the nameservers - which I cannot do. So how do I complete step 5 without doing that?
What happens if I choose option 2? Does that delete my 1st custom domain?
Help would be appreciated.
New Exchange Online; Public Folders not showing up in Outlook 2010
Creating resource mailbox from a federated AD account
I'm working on a script to generate resource mailboxes for my organization. One of the requirements of this script is that the resources must be associated with a federated Active Directory account for a variety of local account management concerns.
The current process we are using is as follows:
- Create the AD account
- Wait for the periodic DirSync process to complete
- License the account with an Exchange Online license (creates mailbox)
- Convert the mailbox to a resource with Set-Mailbox <mailbox> -Room | -Equipment
- Configure the resource calendar processing as appropriate
Based on my understanding, resource mailboxes do not require an active Office 365 user license (and all of the AD accounts are configured as disabled with no password, as are on-premise Exchange resource accounts). As such, I would like to be able to collapse steps 3 and 4 and just create a resource mailbox directly.
So far none of the parameter combinations I have tried with New-Mailbox have worked. Is anyone else doing something similar to this? It isn't a significant issue to license these accounts, if necessary or if my understanding is incorrect; I am just trying to create the most efficient process/script possible to hand off to my ops team.
Thanks!
URL link received on OWA are incorrect (on IPAD).
When an email is received with a link in it, OWA appends extra information to the front of the link.
In particular this is happening when students receive a Verify Email from setting up and Apple ID on their iPad.
i.e: the address for verification is changed to:
https://bluprd0611.outlook.com/owa/redir.aspx?C=qeeI8DpjDEK2SmB6QjBpMgoZcsNneNAI87-SsqOlnWu7eTYMs3ldIB-QjlXWfwLYSC7A9SoxtAw.&URL=https%3a%2f%2fid.apple.com%2fcgi-bin%2fverify.cgi%3flanguage%3dUS-EN%26key%3dMGZiYTYyMjdhMDk2MjZlMTMzYjFmZGZlNWMwNTM4ODM1YThmN2ZlM2Q4ZWMyYTNlYjYxYjMxMzQ4ZWI2NTI5OWYzNGViYzMzY2NjNmUxZTQyYjhjYWI3MDFkNTRlZDAxNWM1YzYwNzE0Yjg0ZmNkMmZlNTA2MDMzM2NiZTYxMDAxMDZiODRmYzRmM2Y3N2MyYTYzY2E4ZWY4YzZiYmNlYWE3NWJiYjc3MWE4OWRlMjYwNDBlZDc4MjhlMmZiZWU2
This produces the following error when clicked on:

Outlook 2010 for email/calendar/contacts sync with Exchange Online services
I have been unable to sync content in Outlook with the Exchange Online email/calendar/contact interface. I have also had no success with enabling my Samsung S3 Nitrodesk Touchdown application with the Exchange Online server.
After spending hours in the "help" forum looking for answers, I'm on the edge of giving up and finding a different solution, if one exists.

Cannot assign ApplicationImpersonation rights to a role group
Hi,
I have been trying to create a role group with Application Impersonation rights, but regardless of how I do it I get errors.
Through the exchange admin page:
I try create a new role group and assign ApplicationImpersonation to it. Hitting save throws up an error "Sorry! We couldn't update your organization settings", and the "click here for help sends me to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-GB/library/ms.exch.eac.HydrationError(EXCHG.150).aspx?v=15.0.731.0&l=1&s=BPOS_S_E15_0_Pilot_Slim which essentially says "we are gathering information"
Through power shell :
running the Enable-OrganizationCustomization command, I get the "Organization customization for organization that is already in E15 pilot is not
allowed from E14. It needs to be initiated from E15." error.
The plans this group is on are the Exchange online plan1, and the office 365 E1.
Any ideas, or do MS have to change something on the account?
David
somehow it is using the wrong email address. It has it as firstname@domain.com but I need it to be firstname.lastname@domain.com How do I correct it?
Mail Flow Rules - disabling inbound email for students breaks sharing notifications
We use Office 365 beginning in Grade 3 - so having control of mail flow is very important to us. My rule to block inbound email for students is breaking SkyDrive Pro's sharing notifications. Here is the rule (our custom attributes specify school and grade level)
Disable Inbound email for Students
If the message...recipient's specified properties contain these words: 'CustomAttribute4:Student' or 'Title:Student'and recipient's specified properties matches these text patterns: 'CustomAttribute3:ACS'and Is received from 'Outside the organization'Do the following...Set audit severity level to 'Low'and Delete the message without notifying the recipient or senderand Send the incident report to pmcleod@myacs.org, include these message properties in the report: sender, recipients, subject, cc'd recipients, bcc'd recipients, matching rules, matching content, original mailExcept if...recipient's specified properties contain these words: 'CustomAttribute1:8' [note: 8th grade only]or sender's address domain portion belongs to any of these domains: 'acs.abpk12.org' or 'abpk12.org' or 'myacs.org' or 'barnstead.k12.nh.us' or 'pmhschool.com' or 'prezi.com' or 'edline.net' or 'sau72.org' or 'alton.k12.nh.us'Rule commentsRule modeEnforceAdditional propertiesSender address matches: HeaderVersion: 15.0.5.3
Here is the incident report I received - the file was shared from one student to another:
This email was automatically generated by the Generate Incident Report action.
Message Id: <CH1YL1SMTP003o6j3ws0005f5de@CH1YL1SMTP003.YLO001.MSOPRD.MSFT.NET>
Sender: no-reply@sharepointonline.com
Subject: xxxxxx@myacs.org has shared 'summer'
To: xxxxxx@myacs.org
Rule Hit: Disable Inbound email for Students, Action: AuditSeverityLevel, DeleteMessage, GenerateIncidentReport
I'm surprised that internal/process emails like this would be blocked, or would be considered "external". Is there a list somewhere of exceptions that we need to make to these rules in order to ensure that Office 365 functions as expected?

One of the mailboxes we moved ended up having status as "completed with warning". On-prem is Exchange 2010 with SP3 and we've moved quite a lot prior to this. Below are the details:

Is there anything we should do to check or worry about? Thanks

Problems printing emails using 365 login in IE10 & windows live mail
Some incoming emails blocked but no way to view, release or whitelist
This is similar to a previous question with same name: http://community.office365.com/en-us/forums/158/t/170924.aspx
I have an Office365 client with 11 users. Some emails are being blocked, not coming through, not going in the junk folder, not showing under the admin login in Exchange in Protection. No way to see the emails that don't arrive, just they never arrive. The Exchange admin does report some emails being 'protected' (I presume FOPE) but there are no emails shown in the Exchange Admin Centre under **any** of the Protection options. Spam is supposedly set to 'go to Junk folder'
One of these emails happens to be a Facebook Confirmation email which is quite important right now as we want to set up the company facebook page. We get the first Facebook email:
The email address xxxxxx was added to your Facebook account. |
If you did this, follow the instructions sent to xxxxxx
But, we never get the 'instructions sent to" email.
There seem to be other posts talking of Office365 O365 stopping emails from Facebook, especially confirmation emails.
How do we (URGENTLY) allow these emails to get through? How do we actually see a list of what emails sent to who that are being stopped?
I need a complete view and control of what's blocked. The MX record is obviously correct as other mail and other Facebook mail IS getting through. |

Exchange Online issues
Good morning,
I'm running Office 2013, and I just got Exchange Online so I can sync up my stuff with my phone, but I simply can't get the service to work with anything at all. I can't even find any documentation for it... Every time I try to add the account in outlook or on my phone, it says the domain doesn't exist. I've added it as a user account in outlook, but Exchange doesn't show up as a service I can add.
I'm completely lost. Please help.
Enable Archiving on Inbox, but disable archiving on subfolders
Is it possible to enable archiving the inbox and also disabling archiving on all subfolders within the inbox? The idea is that end users would be communicated that all email in the inbox would be archived, unless they file it into subfolders. I understand that a retention policy and tags get attached to all subfolders. I would like to know if I can create additional tags that counter-act the effect of the archive tag.
I believe that this can't be done administratively, and that it needs to be done by users? If this is the case can it possibly be done recursively to all subfolders using powershell?
Thanks!
