Exchange 2010 to Exchange Online Cutover Migration
We wish to use the cutover migration from our on-premise Exchange 2010 to Office 365 but we are not having any success creating the migration batch. We have a fully functioning Exchange 2010 system, i.e. on-premise, OWA, Outlook via RPC, all working fine for several years. The migration batch fails and attempts to enter commands in PowerShell fail.
The first phase of the migration batch process fails "We couldn't detect your server settings". We have attempted from inside our network and outside, both fail. The next step fails and suggests we use the Remote Exchange Connectivity Analyzer. Which we have used and the Microsoft Outlook Connectivity test passes just fine.
This is very frustrating!
How do I terminate using Office 365
"Your calendar couldn't be checked to see whether this meeting conflicts with other events" error
We're in the process of potentially moving some of our users to an Office 365 Exchange solution.
We have a user that's been testing it out over the past 3 weeks or so and we're running into an issue with meeting calendar invites.
Some calendar invites get automatically added to the users calendar fine, others do not get added, and for these the invite email shows this error:
"Your calendar couldn't be checked to see whether this meeting conflicts with other events."
If the user accepts the invite, then it gets added to his calendar
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to them. It happens with both external meeting requests (sent from third parties) and meeting requests sent from coworkers in our own domain.
Any suggestions or help on what we can do?
Email error - No Such User Here
We are receiving an error when sending emails to any of our addresses in Office365 Small Business Premium. Here is the error (email addresses are anonymized):
----------------------------------------------
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: xyz@hotsun.co No Such User Hereabc@hotsun.co No Such User Heredef@hotsun.co No Such User Here ----------------------------------
Everything was working fine a few weeks ago. This happened when we moved our hosted site to a new server. However, nameservers are still pointing to ns1.bdm.microsoftonline.com and ns2.bdm.microsoftonline.com; our A record in Office365 points to our IP address on the new server, so that is running fine.
This issue does not occur if we are sending or receiving from within our domain (hotsun.co), as in from Outlook or Outlook Webmail, only if we are sending or receiving from other senders outside of our domain.
Any help is appreciated
How can I email a few thousand prospects without getting blacklisted as SPAM?
We are using Office 2010 with Office 365 for email. We need to increase our customer base efficiently and as cost-effectively as possible. We would like to email blast a few thousand potential customers but are concerned with being blacklisted as a SPAMmer. We allow Opt-Out and remove any uninterested recipients from our email lists. We recently left Network Solutions and switched to Office 365 because it's a cleaner neighborhood.
Please advise.
My 365 calendar syncs to my galaxy 3, but not in reverse. What can I do?
Multiple email domains within one tenant
I am sharing an Office 365 for EDU tenancy with two other schools in our region. We share because our students move from separate, K-8 districts into a shared high school. It is essential that students be able to migrate their mailboxes and files from 8th to 9th grade without losing anything. We DO change their account name in PowerShell when they move between schools - e.g., username@elem.shareddomain.org becomes username@highschool.shareddomain.org . This was all established under Live@EDU.
The issue is that the shared domain name is kind of complex and difficult for younger students to remember.
Now that we are on Office 365 (Wave 15):
1. can we host multiple email domains under the same tenancy? What I would like to do is set up a separate, shorter domain name for our elementary students.
2. if users are renamed as they move from the elementary school email domain to the high school email domain, is it possible to change their identity (e..g, username@elem.org -> username@highsch.org) WITHOUT impacting their data?

Sensitive Word List
In the documentation for Exchange Online Protection I see reference to a "sensitive word list" under the advanced spam filtering options (link provided below). Can anyone point me to where I can find and edit this list?

Office 2013 not able to Send/Receive Folders
Hi.
This is my first time posting, so please forgive me if I don't include enough information etc.
My Office suite has recently started playing up.
From yesterday evening, I've been unable to send or receive emails using the F9 key or clicking on the button in the tab. When I click or press F9, I get no errors or even the usual progress bar. Nothing.
I've tried repairing it, as well as adding new profiles etc. as suggested in other threads. No result. I've also tried doing a clean boot to no prevail as well.
I'm not quite sure what's going on. It just started playing up for no apparent reason.
There's been no recent installs or anything, and I've ensured that all the firewall settings in my antivirus (ESET) allow Outlook (I've even tried temporarily disabling it).
Would love a quick reply. :)
Thanks in advance.
Shared Contacts but no option for an Address Book.
In our small enterprise we wish to share our contacts in one address book, however, such a simple tasks seems to be remarkably difficult.
So far, I've managed to share an address book with another member of the company (I set the permissions to owner).
The user with owner permissions receives the email and can see the contacts (under people) in outlook 2013.
However, the "Outlook Address Book" tab is not available on the shared users properties tab of the folder.
Ideally our company would like to have a pool of addresses/phone numbers we can quickly open/edit and synchronize without having to ask each other to look it up or copy it down.
I feel there must be a step missing here.
Unknown User
Hi,
I am hopeful someone can shed some light on the problem we are having receiving emails from our Linux box to our Office 365 email accounts.
The response from the email server (...protected.outlook.com) is Unknown User.
What could be causing this please (it happens when we send email to any of our Office 365 accounts) ??
Regards,
Craig
Address Book Policy Routing
I use Office 365 for Education and would like to run separate GALS for teaching staff and pupils in a school. I've read that this should now be possible for our Office 365 A2 subscription by simply turning on Address Book Policy Routing in Powershell.
But first it is suggested that I need to set permissions for my admin account to have the Address List role applied using EAC, tried that but this role is not listed as available so I guess I cannot proceed.
Tried to turn it on anyway and get the following result.
PS N:\> Set-TransportConfig -AddressBookPolicyRoutingEnabled $true
Cannot process argument transformation on parameter 'ClearCategories'. Cannot convert value "System.String" to type "System.Boolean". Boolean parameters accept only Boolean values and numbers, such as $True, $False, 1 or 0. + CategoryInfo : InvalidData: (:) [Set-TransportConfig], ParameterBindin...mationException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : ParameterArgumentTransformationError,Set-TransportConfig
Any suggestions for this newbie to the community...
Thanks
David

Hi,
A user in our company is receiving winmail.dat attachments, she is migrated to office 365 and is using office 2013, the same email received by a user that isn't migrated and still using office 2010 is receiving the same email with the correct attachment. The received mail is formatted in Plain text.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
