How to set autoforward on Office 365 while on a mobile device

There is currently no way this option is accessible on my iPhone browser. Everyone and their grandma has a smartphone these days and it makes sense to make this step accessible. When a person has an emergency, they should have the option to keep responsible by funneling emails to a colleague or a manager.


Inbox rule to forward email

One user setup the following inbox rules, but it doesn't work. 

The email subject contains "Master", forward to jane.doe@abc.com

subject which contains "Master" is originally forwarding email from notify@google.com. Forwarding email doesn't forward again with inbox rules?  Or does external email (notify@google.com) not allowed to forwarding with inbox rules?

Exchange Online / Archiving Online - Outlook Desktop cannot see Archive folder

Currently evaluating Office 365 Business Premium with Exchange Online and optional Online-Archiving license.

Running this test within Exchange-Online exclusively - no on-premises Exchange servers involved (I currently have an old 2003 Exchange environment that this will be replacing)

Enabled In-Place archiving for user.  In-Place Archive folder is accessible from within WEB UI for Outlook - from multiple machines.  I have not established any AD links or policies with these machines regarding Office 365.

Installed Outlook Desktop application locally - Mailbox and folders are identical - with the exception that the In-place Archive folder missing. 

How do I make this archive folder visible / accessible from Outlook Desktop?

eDiscovery mail boxes

I conducted an eDiscovery search and had the content copied into a Discovery mailbox. I gave a specific user rights to that mailbox.

Now in Outlook 2010 the user sees the mailbox and can click to expand the folders and Inbox, Drafts, etc. are show, except the actual eDiscovery results are not. I've given myself access to the Discovery mailbox and with much difficulty finally got the contents to show up. I had to open/close Outlook, access the Discovery mailbox in OWA, and wait around 20 minutes.

This is what I see.

My user, still does not see the actual eDiscovery results (the bottom two folders) despite all the "tricks" to get it to display. How do I get the user to be able to see that content?

Remove forwarding rule from particular OU with powershell

I am trying to accomplish  anyone has ForwardingAddress in TermedEmployees OU, remove the ForwardingAddress with powershell.

When I run the following command, I get "couldn't find organizational unit. "

Get-Mailbox -organizationalUnit "test.edu\People\TermedEmployees" -ResultSize unlimited | Where

{$_.ForwardingAddress -ne $null} | Set-Mailbox -ForwardingAddress $null -DeliverToMailboxAndForward $false

I created csv file which contains all users in TermedEmployees OU and saved as termempdata.csv and tried to remove Forwarding from there, but this doesn't eliminate Forwarding rule, either.

I don't get an error, but it looks like Set-Mailbox is not working at all.

mail keeps getting bounced back from one domain

I need some help - I keep getting bounceback messages when sending to a client's domain.  No problem with other mail.  I can get email from the domain.  Here is the error report:

Can't create rules for a specific folder in Outlook 2013

I would like to set up a rule for one of my Outlook email accounts however not all of the email accounts are available to create rules for from the drop down menu. The account I want to create a rule for is imports@domain.com [modified by moderator]

Outlook error “there was no endpoint listening at net.pipe://localhost/…”

A number of our users (with differing versions of MS Outlook and in different locations) are occasionally receiving an error message (screenshot attached):

There was no endpoint listening at net.pipe://localhost/{string}/{string} that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.

It apparently only occurs every few weeks and does not appear to have any effect on the function of Outlook.

It would be good to know what is causing it though and how to stop it occurring again.

We're using hosted Exchange Online by Microsoft Office 365 and do not have an on-prem Exchange server.

Connecting outlook 2010 to o365

Hi,

I recent had my laptop returned to original settings as it was not working. Once it was returned from the shop I loaded office 2010 but have not been able to connect outlook to my o365 account. After adding all the details to set it up the password box pops up - and I fill in my credentails press return ......then it pops up again and again. Please can someone help me set this up as it was working perfectly well last week.

attendees not showing as participants in meetings when accepting with no response

attendees are accepting and selecting accept with no response.  their availability is correctly showing busy however they are not showing up as an attendee of the meeting to the meeting organizer.  Is this correct behavior?  Our meeting organizers are not able to track meeting attendance and this is happening with all users and has been occurring for a long time.

Hi we have just migrated our public folders over to 365 and all worked well for an hour... then all folders disappeared!

Through Powershell I see the following:

Office 2016 for Mac Preview - Outlook update 15.10 showing all-day events a day early

The situation:

A user has their Office 365 account setup on an IOS 8 device. After creating an all-day calendar event using the IOS calendar app, the appointment synchronises to Outlook 2016 for MAC preview but appears in the calendar a day early than the date originally specified when creating the appointment.

Observations:

1. The fault only applies to creating all day events. Calendar entries with a specified start and end time created using the IOS calendar app synchronise to Outlook correctly.

2. The all day event created on the IOS device displays on the correct day in Outlook Web Access so the problem only exists when the appointment is synced to Outlook.

3. All-day events created in Outlook which sync to the phone display on the correct day.  This shows that the problem only exists when syncing appointments down to Outlook from another device.

4. A similar problem with re-occurring events showing an hour early has been discussed here. The suggested fix is to upgrade to version 15.10. The problem we are experiencing is with all-day events and has been present since version 15.8.1. It still exists after having updated to version 15.10.

5. The time zone on all devices is set correctly.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue or has anyone identified a fix for this ?

unable to remove categories (no color) in outlook for mac 15.10

I've got an issue in outlook for mac 15.10 with categories.

I've removed all unnecessary categories, but there are several left.

this 3 categories (CRM: Regarding Steve; CRM and Business) do not show up in categires menu.

What can be the reason?

Old emails in inbox disappearing

Hi - I've had an outlook exchange account for 5 years and had no problems.

Just got new laptop and now when I login there are only 11 emails in my inbox - when anything new comes in the last one disappears and I can't find them.

All my old sent items are visable and my old folders but just not the inbox emails.

Any ideas??
