I decided to post here because two days straight I have held on the line to speak with Microsoft but after 2.5 hours I have given up on reaching anyone.
My outlook 2010 desktop client is having issues with shared mailboxes. It automatically pulled all of them in and then started showing me extra sub-directories that did not actually exist in the shared mailbox but these items were not visible in OWA.
I used powershell to remove fullaccess permissions and then re-added it with the -automapping:$false syntax.
Then I used control panel -> mail to disable cached exchange mode and deleted my ost file. I then re-enabled cached exchange mode and opened outlook.
Nothing changed, it just downloaded my entire inbox again.
When I click on one of my shared mailboxes I have no mail there. If I check from OWA there is mail.
What have I done wrong? Why is it so hard to get rid of the auto added shared mailboxes once they show up?
