I have a question about how to approach the client configuration after a Cutover Migration.
Our plan would follow these steps:
1. Migrate Mailboxes
2. Complete Migration
3. Point autodiscover to Office 365
4. Upgrade clients to Office 2013
5. Configure Outlook profile, pointing it to Exchange Online, using Office 365 credentials
6. Implement DirSync & Single Sign-on
Now my question is, what will happen to those Outlook profiles when SSO is enabled?
Will it simply prompt the user for their on-premises password?
We will know what their Office 365 password is & will use that to centrally manage the outlook profile creation for each individual. We don't want to know what their on-premises password is, nor do we want to have to go changing it. This work is expected to be carried out on a weekend, when no users are present.
I'm also curious about Blackberry users. Since a new profile is needed, would it not make more sense to simply connect using ActiveSync & do away with BES completely?
Regards & thanks in advance for any assistance provided.
