Hello,
I am trying to find a solution to archiving, journaling, and retaining emails for organizational use. When I used to manage Exchange on-prem, we utilized journaling from another cloud service. This was great since it gave us the ability for legal to get the emails they needed that were fully unchanged by users and for us to retrieve emails that users had accidentally deleted.
With Office 365, you can use journaling but you need a non-O365 email address to journal to. I don't feel comfortable asking the business to pay for another hosted email provider for journaling purposes. This pretty much rules out journaling for me from Office 365.
In-Place Hold, right? No, you can't enable this for all users according to Microsoft. So I am asking you all what you are using currently for retaining/journaling emails from end users to combat the lack of support provided from Office 365 for this purpose.
Thanks,
