Gmail Custom Domain

Hi, we have our own domain with Google Apps and have just been given Office 365 for our students by Microsoft.  I have setup the domain and AD sync which is working fine, activated all 800 odd student accounts and given all the details to the students who are stoked.

I'm now trying to check out Outlook but am having some problems.  I can link in my personal Gmail account using POP3 but not my school account.  I have used the wizard to successfully create the personal account, it fails when I try the school account.

When I enter the POP settings manually and I get the error message:"It looks like it's not possible to leave messages on the server for your connected account."  I have checked the POP settings in my school account are the same as the personal one.

I have even tried editing the username and password in the successful personal account installation, but Outlook tests the changes and again shows the above error message.

Oddly a few staff members used to use Outlook 2010 and we never had any trouble with the domain name before.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
