Using the Outlook Plug in in Outlook 2010

Hi,

I am a new user to Lync and have encountered a problem with the Outlook plugin where I saw an error saying that the system could not identify the Calendar user. This was solved in a wikki entry by adding an Office 365 calendar to my Outlook.

I use my Hotmail account to manage calendar and contacts across Outlook, Windows 8 tablet and my Windows Phone, so to add an additional calendar to enable Lync to work properly is not an idea solution. Can the Outlook plug in work with a non Office 365 calendar?
