Interesting issue with archiving all of our hosted email. We have a user box that collects (BCC's) all incoming and outgoing emails. This is working fine - we also do not want to advertise this to everyone.
Issue arises when an individual mail user sends an email with a Read Receipt request attached. We see the email in our archival mailbox; but, if we delete that message in our archive mailbox - the original sender then sees the following message:
*****************************************************************
From: Your Mail [mailto:archival_mailbox@mydomain.com] On Behalf Of
Sent: Thursday, August 22, 2013 1:51 PM
To: Any outside email user
Subject: Not read: Read Receipt Test

Subject: Read Receipt Test 6

was deleted without being read on Thursday, August 22, 2013 1:50:55 PM (UTC-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada).
Can someone offer some help on this? Is it an Exchange setting/process? We've tried numerous rules and settings to 'mark as read' or prevent the archiving mailbox from sending out anything, but to no avail. Every time we delete the Read Receipt message from our archive mailbox - the original sender gets the message above.
Yes - it could be as simple as 'just don't delete the Read Receipts' from the archive mailbox, but there's got to be a solution to this. Please offer any help if you've come across this. Thanks!
