I know this question has been asked several times but I haven't found an answer that suits my needs.
I basically just want to have a local copy of my emails, calendar entries and contacts. The reason why I want to have this is to have a backup in case my account gets corrupted and Microsoft is not able to restore it.
So the OST file is not sufficient for me as it is synchronized in both ways. So if MS loses my data it will automatically be lost in the OST file as well.
I'm even fine with a manual process which I can trigger once a week. Often people recommend to create a PST file but when you archive your emails into this one then they will be removed from Exchange which is not what I want.
