Hi,
I have a user that was created prior to on premise active directory started syncing with Online active directory. That user has a license to Exchange Online so there was a mailbox created. I want to move this user's on premise mailbox to the cloud, but I can't because the cloud mailbox already exists. Is there a way to remove (delete) the cloud mailbox so I can recreate it with the user's on premise mailbox?
I have tried removing the Exchange online license, but I guess I didn't leave it unlicensed long enough for the mailbox to complete delete.
