I am trying to set up an IIS SMTP relay to send mail from on site machine such as a scanner to email on Exchange 365. I followed the instructions at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2600912 and I was able to connect and send mail through telnet.
I then configured our scanner to send mail to the SMTP relay server and it didn't work. I eventually gave up on the scanner and went back to Telnet to re-test things were still working.
At this point, I have been unable to telnet and send mail through the SMTP relay. The messages get queued up but they never get sent and eventually end up in badmail. Is there a log file or something that I can debug why the messages are not being accepted by Exchange 365 any longer?
