Can I Share Contacts Across Domains

Hello,

I administer two mail domains on Office 365. Let's call them domain1 and domain2.

In domain1 I have a mailbox with contacts I want to share with one user in domain1 and one user in domain2.

When logged in as the domain1 user that needs to see the contacts from the other user in domain1 I go to (using Outlook 2010) File > Open > Other Users Folder. In the resulting dialog i enter the username/email address in the "Name..." field and select "Contacts" from the "Folder type:" drop down. I receive the message "You do not have permission to view this contacts folder. Do you want to ask customer@domain1 to share his or her Contacts folder with you?" I select Yes, and it allows me to send an email to request permission.

Next, I login as customer@domain1 open the email sent from the other domain1 account, click "Allow" and it sends and email back to the domain1 user stating that access is granted.

Up to here all is good...

Now I attempt to do the same exact thing logged in as the domain2 user. Everything seems to work up until the point that customer@domain1 attempts to allow access to the domain2 user. An error message pops up stating: Folder sharing is not available with user@domain2 because of permission settings on your network or a temporary problem.... Problem: Your organization's policy does not allow you to share with this recipient.

Can someone tell me if there is anything I can do about this to allow it to work and if so what are the steps to get there?

Thanks!
