I'm using a trial of the Enterprise plan and here is the issue I'm experiencing:
I've setup a mailbox to receive copies of emails where the mailbox is BCC on the email. When I delete emails from this mailbox that is requesting a read receipt, a non-delivery report is generated and sent to the sender saying that "your message was deleted without being read". I'm trying to figure out a way to stop this from happening. I've tried setting up the following rules in Mail Flow but they are not working:
If an is sent by the mailbox that is BCC'd, delete the email
If an email is sent by the mailbox that is BCC'd, send it to an alternate email address (I'm using another 365 mail account as the alternate address)
If the email contains the phrase "was deleted without being read", delete the email
If the email contains the phrase "was deleted without being read", send it to an alternate email address (I'm using another 365 mail account as the alternate location)
I think the reason why these rules aren't working is because I'm trying to have them applied to NDRs, not traditional emails. Will the Mail Flow rules in 365 apply to NDRs? Is there another way I can set this up to prevent the sending of NDRs to people who request read receipts?
