We have Hosted Exchange from Microsoft. We have a new Brother MFC-9970CDW printer/scanner.
Each time I try to set the appropriate settings in the MFC printer, I get the message from the printer upon testing:
E-mail Test Result
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E-mail Send Configuration
The printer e-mail address is invalid. Please specify the e-mail address using no more than 60 ASCII characters. (There is a possibility that some servers do not support some ASCII characters).
E-mail Receive Configuration
It is verified that the specified e-mail receive configuration is valid.
I am using the settings:
POP setting
Server name: outlook.office365.com
Port: 995
Encryption method: SSL
SMTP setting
Server name: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Encryption method: TLS
What's weird is that I'm NOT using any special ASCII characters in the printer email address. I've tried NUMEROUS variations and it still says the same thing.
The printer supports TLS encryption.
What can I do to get this working?
