Hi,

My company has migrated the mail server in the last weekend, and we have a new IP.

Since then, we are getting failures when sending emails to office365 mail accounts where the error "Blocklist 1, mail from IP banned, To request removal from this list please forward this message to delist@messaging.microsoft.com and include your ip address".

Of course we did what is requested in the mail (sending a delist request to delist@messaging.microsoft.com), we got an automated reply

Hi,

My company owns an office 365 for small business plan.

In my company we work with some people (who are not employed by our company) in partnership on some project.

We need them to own an address john@mycompany.com to communicate with our clients, but we don't need them to have a license for office app, sharepoint etc...

I managed to create them as contact and redirect their emails to their personnal email box, but my problem is I need to allow them to send email as john@mycompany.com.

How should I configure their Outlook desktop client to let them send email with our company domain name ?

THank you for your help.

Staged Migration and Target Address

0

I'm having some trouble understanding how to perform a staged migration while still allowing users to use their Outlook client during their mailbox migration.

I migrated a test mailbox that is roughly the size of our user mailboxes (3GB) and it took 14 hours. During the migration the TargetAddress worked properly and new mail was sent to the cloud, but since AutoDiscover in the domain wont point to the cloud mailbox until after I convert the mailbox-enabled user to a mail-enabled user (a step it appears I can't perform until the migration is complete) the user remains connected to their on-premise mailbox and doesn't receive any new email.

We are basically a 24-hour shop and users receive emails all day and night and need to access those emails without experiencing a significant dealy. Isn't there a way to perform the migration and minimize the disruption to our users?

I wondered if maybe we could remove the TargetAddress from user's AD record during the migration and then after the initial synchronization, we could add the TargetAddress back to the user's AD record and then perform another synchronization to pick up anything that may have changed in their mailbox since the initial synchronization. I would assume that a subsequent synchronization would take significantly less time than the initial synchronization allowing us to start the subsequent synch (with the TargetAddress correctly set) then mail-enable the user. Is something like that possible?

Sorry, we couldn't find some of the DNS records you created

I'm setting up a new domain for use with Exchange and Lync. my domain is managed at name.com. I added the MX, CNAME and TXT (spf) records. I copy the key elements below.

How can I overcome the issue?

On name.com, the spf is defined as

<

<>
<>
TXTmydomain.comv=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
<>

>

When I do the verification from the Office365 configuration wizard, it cannot find the spf record - it shows

<

TXT@v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all1 Hour

>

When I inquire with MXtoolbox, I get <mydomain-com.mail.protection.outlook.com>

Rooms with full access and limited visibility

Hi,

I need to make some rooms that can only be viewed by one security group which has full access permissions.  After a couple weeks, I have to make it viewable to everybody but that security group will retain full access permissions.

What's the best way to do this?

Thanks

Two Junk folders

We just migrated from local Exchange to Office 365 using SkyKick and after the switch over, all users have two Junk Email folders. One has the red "no" symbol and the other does not. We deleted one and it came back, no matter which one we deleted it came back. Any idea why we have two and is it possible to remove one? Is the one with the red icon Outlook's and the other is Office 365? Thanks.

Moving mail

After out switch from local Exchange to Office 365 via SkyKick, a user is unable to move emails to certain folders by clicking and dragging. She can move mail using the menu option, but if she clicks and drags some of her folders allow her to move and others will not.

Time Zone Issues (UTC/Reykjavik) with meeting requests accepted via OWA or Outlook for Mac 2011

when an Office 365 user receives a meeting requests and accepts it via OWA or Office 2011 for Mac, the accepts reply displays the time as "(UTC) Monrovia, Reykjavik" instead of the time zone the user is in.

The correct time zone is preserved when the meeting requests is accepted in Outlook 2010 for Windows.

I have checked the users OWA profile and computer clock and all are set to the correct time zone (Eastern)

is anyone else having this issue?

We are on the upgraded platform.

I'm not sure how to escalate a service request. A process-critical Exchange account has been inoperative for a week, and after failing to restore it ourselves I opened a service request two days ago.

The ticket [Removed by Moderator] remains open and unanswered.  How do I escalate this service request?

Reply All in Shared Mailbox from Outlook 2013

Hello,

We have several shared mailbox that are operational through Office 365 Midsize Business.

One of the problems we've noticed using Outlook 2013  is that when using "Reply All" from a shared mailbox, Outlook 2013 will add the shared mailbox's email address to the "To" line, something that it does not do when doing a "Reply-All" from the user's mailbox or when using the shared mailbox's OWA for example. Additionally, if the user's email address was in the "To" field, that one will be removed.

Simple Example:

Email received looks like this:

To: shared@office365.com

From: joe@external.com

Bob uses his outlook 2013 app and clicks on the shared mailbox account, click reply all and the message generated looks like this:

From: shared@office365.com

To: joe@external.com; shared@office365.com

Another example:

Email received looks like this:

To: shared@office365.com; bob@office365.com

From: joe@external.com

Bob sees the email in his inbox and the shared inbox and uses his outlook 2013 app and clicks on the shared mailbox account, click reply all (from email in shared mailbox) and the message generated looks like this:

From: shared@office365.com

To: joe@external.com; shared@office365.com

**Note that bob@office365.com should appear in the "To" line since he's replying as "shared@office365.com" but it does not.

What can be done to solve this so that "Reply-All" behaves normally" from the shared mailbox in Outlook 2013. Again, works just fine in OWA of shared mailbox.

Thank you,

Vincent

Calendar Permissions not updating in Outlook 2010/2013

So, a user (user1@domain.com) is first setup but doesn't have permissions (limiteddetails) to a room calendar.

They setup their Outlook 2010/2013 with their account. Outlook is set to run in "cached mode".

I, as the administrator, change their account to be a booking delegate. However, when they bring up Outlook after the change they are unable to edit anything on the room calendar or add new appointments. The new permissions has taken effect on the exchange server because outlook Web App does allow editing the room calendar.

The way I've managed to fix this issue is to go to C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook and delete all the contents (I believe specifically the .ost file). However I don't want to have to make users do this (and force resyncing) just because a permission has been updated to a resource calendar. The other method I've found is to turn off cached mode. However when you turn it back on the issue comes back. Running without cached mode is certainly not ideal as I know it can cause Outlook to be less responsive/freeze and generally make the user experience worse.

So the question is why is this happening? Is there anything I can do to force what appears to be the resource calendar being incorrectly cached to update with the correct permissions?

Thanks.

Calendar of co-worker not visible in OWA, works in outlook 2013 client

Title

says it all: When I try to view a co-workers calendar it works in the Outlook 2013 client connected to the Office 365 server but does not work (or at least I can't find a way to do it) when using OWA to access the same email account.  The heading for the other calendars section is there (lower left) but I can't find any way to see or access other calendars when using OWA.
